Larry Lee Gladfelter

Larry Lee Gladfelter, 82, passed away , December 8, 2024 at  Shawnee Manor. He was born June 26, 1942 in Lima to Glenn Harold and Phyllis May (Edgington) Gladfelter who preceded him in death.

He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1960 and attended Case Institute of Technology and Fenn College. On December 24, 1973, he married Sharon Kay Spees who preceded him in death on October 8, 2012. Survivors include a stepson, Dr. Curtis D. Holmes of Denver, Colo., a granddaughter, Amanda Sue Barnes and great grandsons Blaine M. Wyman and Conner E. Baker of Columbus, Ohio, brother-in-law, Gary G. Spees, and niece Michelle (Wes) Osterhout, nephew Wes Osterhout, Michelle and Wes’ son Nicholas Osterhout, and niece Tammy (Justin) Hickerson. He was preceded in death by both of his sons by previous marriage, Robert Lee Gladfelter and Brian Edward Gladfelter.

Over the years, Larry worked for many different companies in many different locations, including Florida, Massachusetts and Ohio, always in an IT related field. He last worked at Office World in Lima in computer sales and software support.

Larry was a long-time member of the Sager Lodge 513 of Freemasons. He also had an insatiable curiosity and was interested in almost everything. He was an avid and voracious science fiction reader throughout his life and while only an expert in IT and programming, could converse somewhat knowledgeable on a wide variety of subjects.

Friends may call at HANNEMAN-SIFERD FUNERAL HOME 506 N. Cable Rd. Lima Oh 45805 on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, from 4-6 pm, with Masonic Service provided by F&AM Sager Lodge, at 6 pm. Interment of Larry’s cremated remains will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, 3000 Harding Hwy., Lima OH 45804, Wednesday the 18th of December 2024, at 11 am.
