Lloyd Sterling

Lloyd Sterling, 72, of Fremont passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the Stein Hospice, Sandusky.

Lloyd was born on July 27, 1948 in Fremont, Ohio to the late David and Gladys (Shiets) Sterling. Lloyd is survived by his siblings: Mary Ann (Gary) McNair of Fremont, Janet (David) Mangledorf of Cushing, MN, Mark (Gaye) Sterling of Helena and Thomas (Rebecca) Sterling of Fremont; 9 nieces, 3 nephews, 11 great-nieces, 11 great-nephews, 2 great-great nieces and 2 great-great-nephews. He was preceded in death by a niece Tracey Sterling.

Lloyd was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fremont and a graduate of Fremont Ross High School. Lloyd assisted the United States Navy in setting up mainframe computers all around the world. Lloyd was an avid genealogist who travelled all around the world studying and researching his family’s history. Lloyd also loved skiing, especially in Colorado. Most of all, Lloyd loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews where he always made it a point to attended all their extracurricular activities.

Visitation for Lloyd will be on Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 4:00-8:00 PM in the Hanneman-Chudzinski-Keller Funeral Home, 416 S. Arch St., Fremont, Ohio 43420. Lloyd’s Celebration of Life Service will be on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 10:00 AM in the Hanneman-Chudzinski-Keller Funeral Home, Pastor Matthew Wheeler, officiating. Lloyd’s services will be livestream on the Hanneman-Chudzinski-Keller Facebook page. Those attending the visitation and services are asked to wear masks and practice social distancing.
