Lorna attended Deshler High School and worked as a secretary, elementary school cafeteria worker and library aide at various times while being a stay-at-home mother/farmer. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Hamler where, for many years she was very active in the church, spent many wonderful hours singing in the choir and helping teach Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She was active in the Ladies Mission Society, greatly enjoyed bowling with her friends and volunteered at and attended the annual Hamler Summer Fest. Lorna enjoyed gardening and farming, but her true joy was her family.
