Mary Lou Myers, 87, of Liberty Center, Ohio passed away August 13, 2023. Mary Lou was born on August 9, 1936 in Napoleon, Ohio to the late George and Louella (Babcock) Mohler. She married Morris Myers on December 1, 1956 in Bowling Green, Ohio and they were married 62 years before he preceded her in death on February 7, 2019.
Mary Lou graduated from Liberty Center High School. She worked as a secretary for the UFCW Local 911 for 20 years and worked as a nurse’s aide at Northcrest nursing home. Mary Lou was a member of the Liberty Chapel Global Methodist Church and of the Emmaus Society of Northwest Ohio. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, crocheting and knitting as well as watching her grandchildren’s sporting events. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren always had a special place in her heart and she will be greatly missed by all.
Mary Lou is survived by her children: Rusty (Lori) Coey of Liberty Center; Deborah (John) Leuthold of Bucyrus; Michael Myers of Grand Rapids; and Tom (Christy) Myers of Napoleon; grandchildren: Jason (Celeste) Coey, Jacob Coey, Eric (Abby) Leuthold, Matthew Leuthold, Joshua Leuthold, Michael Myers, Jodi Vogt, Eric Nijakowski, Wesley Myers, Andrew Myers, and Ethan Myers; and15 great grandchildren. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother Bernard Mohler, husband Morris G. Myers, and an infant son Morris Eugene Myers.
Visitation for Mary Lou will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 3:00 - 7:00 PM in the Hanneman Funeral Home, 302 E. Maple Street, Liberty Center, Ohio 43532. Additional visitation will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the time of her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM in Liberty Chapel Global Methodist Church, 9474 County Road V, Liberty Center, Ohio. Interment will immediately follow in Young Cemetery.
