Narin “Kim” Smith, 72, of McComb, passed away Thursday September 9, 2021 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family.
Kim was born on February 18, 1949 in Kalasin, Thailand to the Nak and Inn (Khadeewee) Chomputod. While working at the NCO Club as a waitress at the Royal Thai Air Force Base in Nakhon Phanom, Thailand she met Carl M. “Mike” Smith III and they were married August 30, 1974 and he survives in McComb. On September 5, 1975, Kim and Mike returned to the United States. Also surviving are her sons Gregory (Cassidy Lehmann) Smith and Kitichok (Phattarada Pemsin) Subkancharoen of Thailand, mother Inn Chomputod and grandchildren: Matthew Smith, Andrew Smith, Jasmine Smith and Nontakan Chryprasat. She was preceded in death by her father Nak Chomputod.
Kim was a 1966 graduate of Kalasin High School and worked at Tom Rodgers Flowers in Tiffin as a flower arranger and then worked at Ballreich Potato Chip factory in Tiffin and then Keystone Equity in North Baltimore retiring in 2017. Kim also enjoyed going to Lake Erie, crocheting, bowling and golfing. She was an excellent cook, especially known for her egg rolls. Most of all Kim loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them.
Visitation for Kim will be on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 from 4:00-8:00 PM in the Hanneman Funeral Home, 370 Park Dr. S., McComb, Ohio 45858, where a time of sharing will begin at 8:00 PM. Kim’s Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 12:00 Noon in the funeral home, which will be livestreamed on the Hanneman Funeral Home Findlay & McComb Facebook page.
