Nora Halsey passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on August 28, 2023, at 20 years young. She leaves a void in the hearts of her parents, Rebecca Dayton and Elliott Halsey, her family, and all who cherished her. She was born on January 9, 2003, in Columbus, Ohio, and she graduated from Wheaton North High School in Illinois. Nora worked as a lifeguard for Monsoon Lagoon in Port Clinton and was a zookeeper for K& M Safari. Her hobbies included taking pictures on her phone, journaling, and finding solace by the lake. Nora exhibited an innate talent for drawing art since she was a little girl. She was a talented artist and created many wonderful paintings. She loved animals especially her loyal dog, Winston; cat, Sandle Pepper; and two pet fish.
Nora is survived by her parents: Rebecca and Elliott; brother Lewis Halsey, whose name she picked out before he was born; her grandparents: John Haburn; Richard Halsey Sr.; Edmund Dayton, Ava Jo Dayton, and her great-grandmother Janet Haburn. She is also survived by her two cousins, McKenzie and Luke, and several Aunts, Uncles, and second-cousins. Nora was preceded in death by her grandmother, Grandi Sandi Halsey, in whom she was very close.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Nora's memory to Abundant Harvest Deliverance Ministries, 1368 Henry Ave SW, Canton, Ohio 44706.
