Orlando Edward Wash, 58, passed from life on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Mercy Health Hospital in Lima,Ohio. He was born on October 2, 1967 in Lima, Ohio to James Edward Wash and Mary Lee Wash. Both parents preceded him in death.
Orlando was a devoted employee of Plastic Pak, where he worked as a Machine Operator for 25 years. He was a talented musician and a proud member of The Wash Gospel Singers, serving as their drummer. He also played for several other groups alongside his father, James Edward Wash. Orlando had a passion for his work, a love for cars, and a sharp sense of style-especially when it came to his shoes. He deeply cherished spending time with his family and found great joy in being with his son, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, and loved ones from both sides of his family.
He is survived by his only child, Orlando T. Wash and his wife Sparkle Wash; three grandsons: Aquaveon, Orlando Jr., and Landon; four granddaughters: Dymond, Lyriq, Lyanna, and Lylah; eleven sisters: Veronda K. Turner, JoAnna Wash, Joyce (Wayne) Long, Karen (Richard) Burton, Jacqueline Wash, Rosalind (Lamar) Walker, Lorelita Wash, Debra Warren, Yvonne Roberson, Tuneeka Jones, Lajoyce Brown and Linda Manley; three brothers: Bruce Brown, Anthony Benton and James Jones; a special cousin Steve (Verna) Wash; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, family and friend.
He will be reunited with his brother James E. Wash Jr, and his sister Lillie R. Dillard.
