With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Paul Edward Jones. He left this life on December 3, 2023 surrounded by family and friends. Paul was born on September 21, 1941 to John C and Rose Ella Jones in Mississippi. Paul was one of six brothers. Paul and his family moved to Liberty Center in 1958. Paul ran track, lettering in high hurdle at Liberty Center Local Schools. It is there he met Emma Roseman, the love of his life. Although she was dating another at the time they first met, her brother Raymond ran down to Paul’s house to tell him the second that she was single. Paul and Emma‘s true love shown through every part of their life. They always said they were two spoons in a drawer. They had three children; Brenda, Teresa, and Paula. They also had nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild,
Paul worked for Campbell’s as a maintenance man for 42 years retiring in 2004. Paul enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. He loved the outdoors and could often be found in a chair in the sun, smile on his face, a cup of coffee in one hand, and a fresh packed pipe in the other. He will be terribly missed by all who knew him .
He was proceeded in death by his parents, wife Emma, daughter Paula Jones, grandchildren Hunter Panning, and Amber Martinez, and brothers Bill, Tom, and Kenny Jones.
He is survived by brothers; JV and Lonnie Jones. Daughters; Brenda and Bill Griner, Teresa and Bob Avis; Grandchildren; Timmy and Lacey Jones, Ryan Martinez, Mackenzie Panning, Nate and Heather Avis, Peggy Courtney, Adam and Katie Avis, Rebecca and Andy Ziegler.

The viewing will be held at Hanneman Funeral Home, 302 E. Maple Street, Liberty Center, Ohio on Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 2-8pm. Friday at Bethany Baptist Church, there will be a brief viewing from 10-11am followed by a service. Interment will immediately follow in Mt Pleasant Cemetery.
