Paul Morris

Paul C. Morris Jr., 76, of McComb passed away Friday, May 6, 2022 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay surrounded by his loving family.

Paul was born on December 12, 1945 in Lima, Ohio to the late Paul C. Morris Sr. and Helen (Brown) Morris. He married Janice Holder in 1967 and they later divorced. He then married  Jennifer Sardeson on May 11, 1985 in Trinity United Methodist Church in Bowling Green, Ohio and she survives in McComb. Also surviving are his children: Tonya Dunn of Pemberville, Ohio, Holly (Bub) Carder of Elko Nevada, Kristie (Greg) Stollsteimer of Defiance, Heather (Derrick) Mangas of New Albany, Indiana and Kelsey Morris of McComb, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; siblings David Morris, John (Cathy) Morris, Kathy (Mitch) Furry and Patricia Sue (Earl) Wagner. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Dennis and Neil Morris.

Paul was a 1964 graduate of Leipsic High School and enlisted in the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War with the 1st Calvary Division. Paul was wounded in combat on March 30, 1966 and received the Purple Heart Award. Paul was proud of his military service and he loved his country. Paul worked multiple jobs including factory work and semi-truck driving. His passion for wood working and construction led him to start his own business in 1995. He continued his pursuit until his retirement. Paul loved wood working and made many beautiful pieces of furniture and other items for himself, family and friends. He was a skilled craftsman. 

Paul was a loving, generous and compassionate man. He was always ready to give of himself to others. He had an infectious sense of humor and loved to play jokes on people. He always had a positive attitude that helped navigate the troubles of life. Paul had a contagious smile, loved conversation and storytelling and never met a stranger. Paul endured a lot of through his life. We are blessed with the knowledge that he is now pain free and dancing with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Visitation for Paul will be on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 PM in the Hanneman Funeral Home, 370 Park Dr S., McComb, Ohio 45840. Additional visitation for Paul will be on Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 10:00 until the time of his Celebration of Life Service  at 12:00 Noon in the McComb United Methodist Church, 204 High St., McComb, Ohio 45858, with Pastor Avery Linn-Authenreith, officiating. Military Honors will be rendered by the Hancock County Memorial Squad.
