Pauline Setters, 88, of Lima, passed away on December 25, 2024 at Kessler Estates Assisted Living Community in Lima. She was born on April 4, 1936, in Mingo County, WV, the daughter of Isaac and Lula (Pinion) Harless. Both parents preceded her in death. ON December 11, 1951, she married James Gibson, and he passed away on September 12 ,1979. She was then married to Verner Setters, and he passed away in 2020.
Pauline will be remembered for her infectious laughter, kind spirit, and unwavering generosity. She lived her faith every day. She had a passion for gardening, and also enjoyed canning. She had many talents, but she was widely known for her skills as a seamstress. Christmas was her absolute favorite holiday and she loved creating wonderful family traditions that she passed along to her children. Animals of all kinds had a special place in her heart, and she adored the many cats and dogs she cared for over the years. Family was her greatest love in life, and she spent as much time as she could and enjoyed time spent with her big family.
She is survived by her children; James S. (Donna) Gibson of Elida, Yvonne (Robert) Gladwell of Waterville, Deborah (Tim) Riepenhoff, of Cridersville, Rhonda (Rene’) Allen of Michigan, and Robbin (Alan Harrison) Kottenbrock, of Lakeview. She has 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. There are 4 step-children; Lynette, Karen, Gloria, and Paul. She was preceded in death by one grandchild, Jenni Taylor, and siblings; Dorothy Fields, Daisy Daniels, Ival Harless, Birdie Moreland, Lucille Jude, Thomas Junior Harless, Norma Jean Lambert, Offitt Harless, Louis Harless, Avonelle Shenk, Robert Harless, and Franklin Harless.
Friends may call at HANNEMAN-SIFERD FUNERAL HOME, 506 N Cables Rd. Lima Ohio 45805, on January 2, 2025, from 11am to 1pm, with a service to be held at 1 pm., officiated by Pastor Brian Robertson.
