Phyllis Heileman Obituary

Phyllis Valeria Heileman, 88, of Fremont passed away Wednesday June19, 2024 at Valley View Assisted Living with the loving care of family by her side. She was born May 1, 1936 in Fremont to the late Macjiej and Ludwicka (Kupka) Lotycz. Phyllis was passionate about her career as a radiology technician at Memorial Hospital for 45 years, and she adored her co-workers and patients.  She was proud of her Polish heritage and enjoyed traveling to Poland. Phyllis was an avid reader, enjoyed card club, and she had unparalleled Wheel of Fortune, logic puzzle, and trivia game skills.  She was a jazz aficionado and a gifted musician who played organ at St. Casmir as a child.  She had a melodic singing voice and was not shy about jumping in to harmonize to any tune.

Left to cherish her memory are son Jeffrey Heileman of Fremont and daughters Renee Rowe and Michelle Lindsey, both of Dayton; grandchildren: Richard Rowe and Katherine Lindsey; many beloved nieces and nephews, especially Marcia Kiser, Jerome Kiser, and Cathy Hineline who were always there to help in times of need.

She was preceded in death by brothers: John and Joseph Lotycz; Edmond, Adolph, Edward, Stephen, John and Joseph Kupka; sisters: Lorainne Petonke, Dolores Raitz, Anna Rose Kiser, Stella Wilcznski, and Angela Biehler.
