Phyllis J. Walliser, 86, of Attica, was called home to the Lord Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022.
She was born June 10, 1935, to the late Leonard and Agnes (Miller) Walliser.
Phyllis is survived by one sister, Joan Bogner of Westerville: three brothers, Harold (Betty) Walliser of The Villages, Florida, Gerald (Ernestine) Walliser of Attica, and Kenneth (Vicki) Walliser of Fostoria. She is also survived by 24 nieces and nephews, along with many great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard J. Walliser; sister, Doris M. Kaple; and two nieces, Charlene Dallas and Michelle Walliser.
Phyllis held a special place with her family and was better known as Aunt Phid. She graduated from Attica High School in 1953. She went to work at Sutton Bank for a number of years and retired from North Central Electric Coop. in 1997. She enjoyed shopping and going out to eat with family and friends. Phyllis volunteered at the Attica Food Pantry and Our Lady of Hope Alter Rosary Society. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church and a resident of Attica her entire life. Phyllis's loving and kind personality will be dearly missed by everyone that knew her.
Memorial contributions in her honor may be gifted to Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, the Attica Food Pantry or Seneca East Public Library.
Visitation for Phyllis will be Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, from 12 p.m. until the time of her funeral Mass at 1 p.m. at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, 320 Stump Pike Rd, Attica, OH 44807. Interment will immediately follow at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Attica. The family asks all in attendance to please wear a mask.
