Raymond Rex Ritchart, Jr, 77, of Fremont, passed away peacefully at his home, Friday morning, June 4, 2021. He was born May 23, 1944 in Panama City, FL to the late Alberta and Raymond Rex Ritchart, Sr. Ray graduated from St Joseph High School and had worked at Singer Controls, Peter Eckrich and Sons and Famous Supply. In 1988, he began his own business, Town Tavern in Clyde.
Ray took great pride in caring for his family, his home and his business. He was his mother’s caregiver until her death last July. He was an avid Harley Davidson rider and he liked hunting, fishing and boating. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his children: Julie Aldrich, Kim (Jason Bailey) Jones, Ron (Loria) Ritchart, Sherry (Karen Root) Keller, and David (Pat) Ritchart; eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Ray was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Albert and Stephen.
Ray’s loving family will gather for a graveside service at St Joseph Cemetery, Fremont, OH. A memorial bike ride will be announced at a later date.
