Regina E Portillo

Regina Eleanor Portillo, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 21, 1942, to the late Frank and Doris (Zinn) Deak.

Regina enjoyed a long and fulfilling career at Powertrain/Hydromatic, where she worked for 31 years on the Transmission Repair Line. Outside of work, she loved spending time with her family and could often be found shopping, bowling, traveling, walking along the beach, or exploring yard sales.

She is survived by her sons, Terry (Mary) Portillo, Raymond Youngs, and Robert Youngs; her brothers,Jack (Bonnie) Kassee and Kenneth kassee; Sisters/Cousins, Doris Zinn and Carol Benson. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sons, Bruce Youngs and Randy Youngs; her sisters, Linda Kassee and Rebecca Miner; and her brother, Earl Kassee.

A public visitation will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hanneman Funeral Home - Grand Rapids, 24084 W 2nd St, Grand Rapids, OH 43522-9493

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 11:00 am at Hanneman Funeral Home - Grand Rapids, with an hour of visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Grand Rapids, Ohio.
