Richard G Coleman, 83, passed away at Blanchard Valley Health System on January 6, 2021
Dick was born February 10, 1937 in Fremont, Ohio to Raymond Richard and Nettie (Waggoner) Coleman.
He married Edith (Sims) Oct 4, 1958 and she survives.
Dick was a 1956 graduate of Fremont Ross whereas a Little Giant, he excelled at track, wrestling and football, earning 7 letters wearing purple and white. He went on to Purdue University on a football scholarship and graduated...

Green Springs High School was his first coaching job, I had the pleasure of being coached under him.
I was physical & Abuse by my Father ,after he seeing by back that was bleeding he made sure of my protection he took me to children receiving home and from there he made sure i was safe. I was bless from his decision for his concern of my wellbeing ,i always called him "Coached when i seen him and his wife in Fremont.

January 8, 2021 10:14 PMTo Steve and the hole family. I had Dick as a teacher and coach. He was such a great person at both of those professions .he was an great coach. On Thursday the coaches would tell us a joke after practice. Every players would scream for Dick to tell the joke. It would not only be funny but also a little salty. January 8, 2021 2:50 PMI had Mr. Coleman in Junior High and I always liked him. I am sure his class was the only science class I ever enjoyed. My sympathy to the Coleman family. I know he will be missed so very much.
