Richard Stevens, 77, of McComb passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.
Richard was born on December 28, 1944 in Mannington, West Virginia to the late Ray and Nellie (Bice) Stevens. He married Sue Higginbotham April 3, 1968 in Oakland, Maryland and she survives in McComb. Also surviving are his children: Rick (Corinna) Stevens, Punta Gorda, Florida, Tammy (Gary) Sites of McComb, Sherry Stevens of Ada, Ohio; grandchildren: Danie, Cody, Kelsey, Meranda, Brock, Dustin, Amber and Tyler, 19 great-grandchildren; brothers: Fred (Betty) Stevens, Kenny (Wanda) Stevens, Doug Stevens all of Joetown, West Virginia, Loren (Kathy) Stevens of McComb, Gary (Johannan) Stevens of Joetown, West Virginia, Everett (Jennifer) Stevens, of McComb, Susie (Chuck) Slaughter of Wyatt, West Virginia, Rosalie (Butch) Vanderhoff, Joetown, West Virigina and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Melvin Stevens, sister in law Cindy Stevens, brother in law Chuck Higginbotham and niece Christie Higginbotham.
Richard retired from Werk-Brau in Findlay as a welder in 2007. He enjoyed roasting chickens for his friends, tinkering on cars, hunting and fishing. But most of all Richard loved his family, cherished the time he spent with them.
A Gathering in Richard’s honor will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 PM in the Hanneman Funeral Home, 370 Park Dr S., McComb, Ohio 45858.
