Robert Lee Brown

Robert Lee Brown, 76, of Lima, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 4:59 pm., at his residence. He was born on February 10, 1948, in Lima, the son of Grady and Lillie (Smith) Brown. Both parents have preceded him in death. He was married to Mary A. Hendley, and she preceded him in death. On November 20, 1976 he married Donna J. Voress, and she also preceded him in death.

Bob had worked for Lima Lumber Company, Kings Department Store, and Stone’s Exterior and Design. He was retired from Honda of America, and had also worked as a maintenance technician at Hampton Greene Apartments, as well as the janitorial tech for Grace Baptist Church, of which he was a member. Bob enjoyed carpentry work and drinking coffee at Waffle House. Though he was never in the military, he was very patriotic, he loved God and Country. Bob enjoyed showing God’s love and serving his Savior by helping those in need.

His 5 daughters; Shanna Armentrout, of Lima, Melissa (Tim) Barlow of Springfield OH, Carrie (Tony) Peters, of Columbus, Heather (Eric) Stevenson of Belle Glade FL, and Sara (Matt) Elsass, of Wapakoneta, were loved more than they will ever know. His many grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought him much joy. He’s also survived by 8 siblings; Lawrence (Kim) Brown, Rick Brown, James (Pam) Brown, Jeremy Brown, Carol Smith, Lois (John) Burklo, Linda Stephenson, and Sue Bayes.

Friends may call on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at HANNEMAN-SIFERD FUNERAL HOME, 506 N. Cable Rd. Lima, OH 45805, from 11am-1pm, with a service to be conducted by his son-in-law, Eric Stevenson. Entombment will follow service at Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum, 3000 Harding Hwy., Lima Oh 45804.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to Habitat for Humanity, in Bob’s Memory.
