Robert M. Smith

Robert M. Smith, 80, of Findlay passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at the Blanchard Valley Hospital.

Robert was born on July 17, 1941 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Walter and Sarah (Burdge) Smith. Robert is survived by his children: Todd Smith and Susan (Tim) Mompher both of Findlay; grandchildren: Jacob and Seth Folwer and sisters Marty Arthur and Mary Smith. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Jeannie Smith, Ann Arthur, Stella Crawford and Jim Smith.

Robert was a graduate of Piqua Catholic High School and received his degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dayton and his Masters in Industrial Management from Central Michigan University. Robert co-owned High Quality Plastics, and ECL Plastics which he sold in 2009 and also owned and operated Superior Plastics both of Findlay. Robert was also a member of the Bridge Club and had a passion of showing Quarter Horses. Robert enjoyed watching college football, especially cheering on the Norte Dame Fighting Irish. Robert was a kind hearted individual who would help and give any individual the opportunity to better themselves.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 from 3:00 until the time of Robert's Celebration of Life Service at 5:00 PM in the Hanneman Funeral Home, 201 Osborn Ave., Findlay, Ohio 45840.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Robert’s honor to the American Heart Association.
