Rose Van Atta

Rose Van Atta, 58, of Arcadia passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2020 in the comfort of her own home.

Rose was born on February 12, 1962 in Tiffin, Ohio to Donald and Delores (Sours) Evans. She married Greg Van Atta on September 13, 2003 and he survives in Arcadia. Also surviving are her children: Jane Hofacker of Findlay and Christopher Ickes of Cygnet; her mother Delores Evans of Helena; grandchildren: Cowan, Madison, Jameson, Emma, Brandon, Elizabeth, Sebastian. Scarlet, Emellia, and Prailynn; sister: Linda (Randy) Jacobs of Helena, brother Robert (Dawn) Evans of Fostoria, step-children: Michelle York, Gerald (Megan) Van Atta, Justin Van Atta and Courtney (Scott) Shrider. She was preceded in death by her father Donald Evans, sister Mary Yonikus and a step daughter Danielle Van Atta.

Rose was a graduate of Fremont Ross High School and enjoyed, camping and canoeing at Mohican State Park, riding her bike, going for walks and playing cornhole.  Rose was a lover of animals, she had dogs, cats and horses that she tended and cared for. The most important part of Rose’s life was her family, especially her grandchildren who were her pride and joy.

Visitation for Rose will be on Sunday, October 18, 2020 from 1:00 until the time of her Celebration of Life Service at 3:00 PM in the HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME, 201 Osborn Ave., Findlay, Ohio 45840.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Rose’s honor to the Hancock County Humane Society.
