Rusty Lynn Baumbarger 2nd, It is with deep sorrow that we announce this passing. He left us too soon at the age of 19. Rusty passed away on February 12, 2025, at his residence in Lima, Ohio.
Born on March 23, 2005, in Columbus, Ohio, Rusty was the beloved son of Rusty Lynn Baumbarger 1st of Lima, and Jackie Dalessandro of Montgomery, Texas. He was blessed with the love and guidance of his special step-up mother, Christina Fowler of Lima, and will be deeply missed by his two sisters, Jessica Barnes and Shiloh Irvin, as well as his uncles Dustin Baumbarger and Scott (Kristina) Baumbarger.
He attended Lima Senior High School, Rusty was known for his light-hearted spirit, endless kindness, and his ever-present ability to put others before himself. With a personality as warm and bright as his smile, he was often affectionately called the “Skinny He-Man” by those who knew him well. His passion for adventure and exploration was boundless, whether he was immersing himself in the world of video games or spending hours walking through creeks hunting for crawdads, Rusty had a way of making every moment an adventure.
But it wasn’t just his hobbies that made him unforgettable. Rusty was a deeply caring soul who had a special connection with his furry best friend, Chevy, his beloved dog, whom he often called his "brother." Rusty’s heart was as big as his sense of humor, and he showed love in every action, big and small.
Although both his paternal and maternal grandparents have passed, Rusty’s legacy of love, laughter, and joy will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
A visitation to honor and remember Rusty will take place at the First United Brethren Church, 629 Rector Ave., Findlay, OH, on March 1, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with services starting at 11:00 a.m.
Rusty’s adventurous spirit, boundless love, and kindness will be missed beyond words. May he rest in peace, knowing the many lives he touched will carry his memory forward in love and laughter, forever.
