Sara J (Jarvis) Rossfeld

Sara J. “Sally” Rossfeld,  age 88, passed away on July 25, 2024 at 2:55 am., at The Meadows in Delphos. She was born on October 16, 1935, in Van Wert, Ohio, the daughter of Dr. James R. and Mary Lawrence Jarvis, both whom preceded her in death.

Sally graduated from The Ohio State University and was retired from Allen Metropolitan Housing Authority as Section 8 Deputy Manager. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority, and was a phenomenal fundraiser and participant in the Relay for Life. She was a 2- time breast cancer survivor and a true asset to this community because of her efforts. She was also a great seamstress and enjoyed cross stitching and needlepoint.  

Surviving are her children Michael (Sherry) Rossfeld, Susan Pack, Carol Romey , and Marcia Rossfeld Webb. She has 6 grandchildren,  7 bonus grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brother, Jim Jarvis, her former husband and  father of her children, Charles Rossfeld, two sisters-in-law, Nancy Jarvis and Shelia Jarvis; and her longtime companion George Bilbrey of Delphos. Preceding her in death were her son-in-law, John, siblings Phillip Jarvis and Bruce Jarvis and her sister-in-law, Johanna Jarvis.

Friends may call at Trinity United Methodist Church, 301 W. Market St Lima Ohio 45801 on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 from 10am to 11am, with a service at the church at 11am, officiated by Pastor Lori Wright.
