Sheila Kay Strawser

Sheila Kay Strawser, 62, of Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away on unexpectedly on February 12, 2025.  She was born on September 19, 1962, in Napoleon, Ohio, to the late James W. and Anna Mae (Van Wormer) Strawser.  

Sheila is survived by her two children, Kiley (Joe) Hicks, of Weston, Ohio, and Jesse (Jessica) Tolles, of Osseo, Michigan; seven grandchildren: Toby, Kala, Brandy, Paige, Jesse, Collin, and Neveah; 10 great-grandchildren; and her siblings: Laura Lewallen and Cheryl Strawser; and her beloved four-legged companion, Abel.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Marcia E. Strawser, Janet Wright, and Kathy Baden.

Sheila worked hard throughout her life going from being a farmer to all the way of being a property manager.  Sheila loved camping, playing games, especially bingo, and singing karaoke.  She had a bubbly personality and always loved to the life of the party.  Sheila enjoyed telling stories and always making people laugh.  Mostly, Sheila enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  She will be remembered for her kind heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering love for her family.

She will be missed by many and always remembered.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Hanneman Funeral Home, 24084 W. 2nd Street Grand Rapids, OH 43522. Funeral Services will follow visitation at 3:00 PM.
