Steve Dornoff, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on January 5, 2025, at the age of 58. Born on March 24, 1966, Steve brought joy and kindness to everyone he met. His unwavering love for his family and friends was matched only by his passion for life and his many hobbies.
Steve was a man of creativity and curiosity. He had a remarkable talent for tinkering and building, always finding ways to bring his ideas to life. His love for karaoke allowed him to share his vibrant personality and passion for singing, often becoming the life of the party.
For 25 years, Steve dedicated himself to his career at CBC, where he was admired for his work ethic and camaraderie. Outside of work, he cherished the simple pleasures in life: exploring the beauty of lighthouses, marveling at eagles, and Harry Potter memorabilia. He also had a deep love for the Boy Scouts, cherishing the values and experiences it brought into his life.
Steve’s caring spirit and willingness to lend a hand to those in need will be deeply missed. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. He is survived by his children: Quincy (Kristen), Steve Jr., Delores (James), Kendra, and Rashell (Brad), as well as his eight grandchildren: Steven "Max", Rikki, Markis, Amanda, Julia, Bridget, Lilly, and Casey. He is also survived by his best friend and sister, Debbie.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Paula Dornoff; his mother, Marilyn Coward; and his brother, James Dornoff. Though they are no longer with us, their presence in Steve’s life shaped the kind-hearted and compassionate person he became.
Steve’s life will be celebrated with gratitude for the time we were blessed to share with him. He will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
