Sylvia Maximillianna (Waltman) Holliday

Sylvia “Sissy” Maximillianna Holliday, 62, passed away on November 15, 2023, at Lima Memorial Health System. She was born on June 26, 1961, in Frankfurt Germany, the daughter of Richard Waltman and Ingeborg (Neumeyer) Waltman. Both parents preceded her in death. On September 20, 1996, she married James “Jim” Holliday, who survives in Lima. Sissy will forever be the love of Jim’s life.

Sissy was a kind and gentle soul.  Anybody who met her quickly realized what a caring person she was. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Sissy will truly be missed by many.

During her lifetime, Sissy took on many roles - from modeling to homemaking.  But without a doubt Sissy loved to take care of her family above all else.  She also loved to read, crochet, and would watch horror movies covered in blankets while Jim slept in his chair.

Sylvia is survived by her daughters: Alexandria Holliday (Mike Watkins) of Lima, Jessica Holliday (Rick Brenneman) of Lima, and Ashley Holliday of Lima. She also has her siblings; Constance “Connie” (James) Woodhouse of Lima, Richard (Laura) Waltman of Wilmington, Delaware and Patty Pack of Venice, Florida.  Her grandchildren; James Scott Holliday, Jesse Holliday, Cameron Brenneman, Jessalyn Brenneman, and Aliah Woten. She also has a great granddaughter, Willow Woten.Her nieces and nephews; Jeannie (Brian) Sleight, Ashley Waltman, Roman (Kayla) Sims, and Connor Waltman.  Grandnieces and Grandnephews; Olivia, Kade, Straley, and Luke Sleight.  Sissy was preceded in death by a stepson; James “Jimmy” Scott Holliday, and a sister Jeannie Anderson.
