Veronica Jane (Pendleton) Rodriguez

Veronica Jane (Pendleton) Rodriguez, 79, of Fremont, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, August 20th, 2023. She was born in Jersey City, NJ, on October 18, 1943, to the late Ralph and Mona Pendleton.

Veronica (known as Roni to her many friends) grew up in Pennsylvania and graduated from Conemaugh Township High School located in Davidsville, PA. She was preceded in death by her brothers, James Pendleton of Johnstown, PA, Ronald Pendleton of Rural Hall, NC, and her sister, Annette Krisko of Portage, PA.

Veronica married Salvador Rodriguez in 1966. They had three children: a daughter, Monna' Kline (Jim), and two sons, Salvador Rodriguez II (Kim Hrynciw) and Earl Rodriguez (Nanci). However, she was a mother to many others who loved her.

Roni had many professional talents, including a painting/wallpaper business, and she was a Hospice home caregiver. Roni had a gift for easily making friends, as her love for her family and friends was undeniable. One of her favorite hobbies was her love for gardening flowers and spending time upkeeping her pond; together they created a beautiful environment within her own yard. Roni was an avid reader and an animal lover. She was an active member of Al-Anon/Alateen and the most wonderful "Granny" to Erika Garcia (Gabriel), Elise Kline, Sydni Rodriguez, Amyra Ruffing, Trent Rodriguez, McKenzie Rodriguez, Dane Rodriguez (Kay), Brissa Rodriguez, and six great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

Memorial services will be held at Hanneman-Keller Funeral Home on Monday, August 28th. Visitation will be from 2-4 pm, with the service starting at 4 pm. Memorial donations may be made in Roni's name to Hospice or the Humane Society of Sandusky County.
