Virginia Sweigart

Virginia Sweigart, 90, of Bloomville passed away Tuesday October 20, 2020.

Virginia was born on June 22, 1930 in St. Marys, Ohio to Irben and Pearl Burkhart (Kilger). She married Ralph B. Sweigart on August 1, 1953. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and grandson Benjamin C. Shepherd.

Virginia is survived by her children: Merlin (Winifred) Sweigart, Ronald (Cindy) Sweigart, Aaron (Michelle) Sweigart, Nancy Risner, Greta ( Paul) Houck and Belinda (Jeffrey) Perelka; grandchildren: Rhonda, Tammy, Scott, Jason, Chad, Nicole, Isaiah, Jennifer, Jaclyn, Rhiana, Zachary, Jessica and Madison, 34 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Virginia was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Attica. She loved gathering with family and telling stories about her children. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, quilting and doing word search puzzles. She also enjoyed road trips, especially to Amish country.

Visitation will be on Saturday, October 24, 2020 from 10:00 until the time of her Celebration of Life Service at 11:30 AM in the Hanneman Funeral Home, 1295 Tiffin St., Attica, Ohio. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Attica Venice Cemetery.
