Virginia Zurbuch, 86, of Attica passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at the Willows at Tiffin.
Virginia Dale Morrison, Zurbuch was born to Dale and Roberta (Klase) Morrison in Wadsworth, Ohio on October 17, 1933. She graduated from Wadsworth High School and married Dick A. Zurbuch on March 25, 1951. They were married one week before he left for overseas. She met Dick at her father’s drive in movie theater in May 1948 where she worked. When Dick got home from the Army, they moved to Attica in 1952. They owned the Attica Oliver Store and she was the secretary and bookkeeper. They had a daughter Kay Lee (Stephen) Bennett in 1953 and a son Dick Scott (Cathy)Zurbuch in 1958. That was when she learned to drive truck. For 20 years, Virginia picked up parts or equipment for their implement store to help Dick. She always had a big garden and canned the food. She helped plow, fit ground, bale and mow hay and helped fill the silo. When Dick retired, Virginia needed something to do. So she started to go to craft shows to sell things she made. She had built a nice business so Virginia started a shop in the Amish county and was there for 21 years. She made dolls and crocheted afghans. You name it, Virginia made it. She loved it! She had seven sewing machines so she didn’t have to change a thread.
Virginia is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; four sisters: Roberta (Jim) Kelly, Sally (Roger) Porter, Kay (Gary) Rasor and Debra (Mike) Gurich. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
