Willow V. Schultz, 95, of Fremont passed away Sunday, February 28, 2021 in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her loving family.
Willow was born on October 26, 1925 in Fremont, Ohio to the late Robert and Mildred (Baker) Murphy. Willow married Donald E. Schultz on June 21, 1947 in Greenup, Kentucky and he preceded her in death on February 26, 2000. Willow is survived by her children: Eddie Schultz, Don L. Schultz and Sandy Kleinoeder all of Fremont; grandchildren: Lee Schultz, Jennifer Schultz, Kourtney Jared and John Kleinoeder and 4 great-grandchildren: Jakob, Joelle, Travis and Jace. She was preceded in death by her brothers: Robert Murphy, Donald Murphy and Kenneth Murphy.
Willow graduated from Jackson Burgoon School and also played basketball for the school team. She worked for Union Carbide after graduating where she met her husband, Donald Edward Schultz. They shared the business, Associated Buyers at 115 Stone Street in Fremont, Ohio. Willow loved to sew for her children and grandchildren, and her homemade Halloween costumes were a treat. She canned vegetables and fruits from the farm, making jam and excellent pies. She enjoyed being an assistant leader of Camp Fire girls and den mother for the boys at the First United Presbyterian Church in Fremont, Ohio. She was an A #1 mom. Willow and Donald traveled extensively to places in Europe including Holland, Ireland, France from rewards for sales of appliances and mattresses at Associated Buyers. She loved keeping an immaculate lawn and beautiful flowers, even receiving the Beautification Award from the city of Fremont and was a cleaning fanatic. Willow enjoyed family life and her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy.
Services for Willow will be private for her family, with interment in the Pleasant Union Cemetery, Old Fort.
Arrangements have been entrusted with the Hanneman-Chudzinski-Keller Funeral Home, 416 S. Arch St., Fremont, Ohio 43420.
